Downlink ports
Support for HPE Synergy 16Gb and 32Gb FC HBA mezzanines.
Universal self-configuring ports, which can be configured as F_Ports (fabric enabled) or N_Ports.
Uplink ports
Both QSFP+ and SFP+ uplink ports are 8/16/32Gb/s auto-sensing.
Max 12 x 32Gb ports usable at the same time for uplink.
- Supports two 16Gb to 32Gb QSFP+ Short Wave (SW) transceivers and/or the following:
SFP+ Short Wave (SW) laser transceivers
SFP+ Long Wave (LW) laser transceivers

QSFP+ transceivers support MPO-to-MPO and MPO-to-4xLC Fiber Optic cables.
SFP+ transceivers support LC-to-LC OM3 and OM4 fiber optic cables.

- ISL Trunking is supported and requires Power Pack+ or Trunking E-LTU. ISL Trunking supports up to 256Gb/s per trunk group, which requires either of the following:
Up to eight SFP+ ports
Up to two QSFP+ ports
FC Ports can be configured as E_Port (switch mode), F_Port (Access Gateway mode), or D_Port (Diagnostic Port).
N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) HBA Aggregation is also supported in Access Gateway mode.
Two 32Gb SFP28 Short Wave Transceivers (P9H32A) included per 12-port module.
Four 32Gb SFP28 Short Wave Transceivers (P9H32A) included per 20-port module.
