Avoid bottlenecks with I/O intense applications on a high-performance Ethernet fabric. The interconnect module has eight QSFP28 Uplink port connectors on the front (shown). On the rear of the interconnect module, there are twelve 25/50Gb Downlink ports (not shown).

Downlink ports

  • Twelve 25/50Gb Ethernet internal downlinks to compute module CNAs.

  • Support for HPE Synergy 25/50Gb Ethernet adapters and CNA mezzanines.

  • CNA can be configured to transport Fiber Channel over Ethernet/CEE.

Uplink ports

  • Eight QSFP28 connectors for external uplink to Local Area Network.

  • Supports the following:

    • 100Gb QSFP28 SR4 transceivers

    • 100Gb QSFP28 AOC and DAC cables

    • 100Gb QSFP28 to 4x25G SFP28 AOC and DAC Splitter cables

    • 40G QSFP+ MPO SR4 transceivers

    • 40G QSFP+ LC LR4 transceivers

    • 40G QSFP+ AOC

    • 40G QSFP+ to 4x10G SFP+ AOC Splitter cables

  • QSFP28 and QSFP+ MPO transceivers support MPO-to-MPO and MPO-to-4xLC fiber optic cables.

  • QSFP+ LC transceivers support LC-to-LC OM3 and OM4 fiber optic cables.

  • Each uplink can be configured as 1x100Gb, 1x40Gb, 4x25Gb, or 4x10Gb Ethernet ports.

  • Supports Data Center Bridging (DCB) and Remote Direct Memory Access over Converged Ethernet (RoCEv2).
