Downlink ports
Twelve 4-lane 12Gb SAS internal downlinks to
compute modules and storage modules.
Supports up to 10 HPE Smart Array P542D Controllers.
Supports up to five HPE Synergy D3940 Storage Modules with 40 SFF drive bays.
Uplink ports
There are no uplink connectors. The connection module connects compute modules to storage modules internally through the midplane.
HPE Synergy D3940 Storage Module
There are no external cable connections required to use the storage module.
