This cabling example shows a redundant five frame configuration.

Procedure

Using interconnect link cables, connect the primary master switch ports to each
satellite ICM in the same bay.
- Connect port L1 from the primary
master ICM to port L1 on the satellite interconnect in the same frame as the secondary
master ICM.
- Connect ports L2, L3, and L4 from the primary
master ICM to port L1 in each of the remaining
satellite ICM in ICM 3.

Using interconnect link cables, connect the primary master switch ports to each
satellite ICM in the same bay.
- Connect port L1 from the secondary
master ICM to port L1 on the satellite interconnect in the same frame as the primary
master ICM.
- Connect ports L2, L3, and L4 from the secondary
master ICM to port L1 in each of the remaining
satellite ICM in ICM 6.

Cable two stacking cables from the primary
master ICM to the secondary
master ICM.
- Connect a stacking cable from port Q7 on the first
master ICM to port Q7 on the second
master ICM.
- Connect a stacking cable from port Q8 on the first
master ICM to port Q8 on the second
master ICM.
