Downlink ports

Twelve 16Gb FC internal downlinks to compute module Fibre Channel Host Bus Adapters (HBA).

  • Support for HPE Synergy 16G FC HBA Mezzanine.

  • Allows up to 255 VMs running on the same compute module to access separate storage resources.

  • Configured as Fabric ports (F_Port).

Uplink ports

Four QSFP+ and eight SFP+ external uplink connectors to Fibre Channel SAN switches.

  • Both QSFP+ and SFP+ uplink ports are 4/8/16Gb/s auto-sensing.

  • Maximum 12 x 16Gb ports are usable at the same time for uplink.

  • Supports 4x16Gb QSFP+ and/or SFP+ SW laser transceivers.

  • QSFP+ transceiver supports MPO-to-MPO and MPO-to-4xLC Fiber Optic cables.

  • SFP+ transceivers support LC-to-LC OM3 and OM4 Fiber Optic cables.

  • Configured as Node ports (N_Port).

  • N_Port ID Virtualization (NPIV) HBA Aggregation are supported.
