HPE Synergy Image Streamer cabling with HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module

NOTE:

HPE Synergy frames with HPE Synergy Image Streamer must have HPE Synergy Frame Link Module (2-Port) installed. For a list of compatible configurations, refer to the HPE Synergy Configuration and Compatibility Guide on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise website (http://www.hpe.com/info/synergy-docs).

Requirements for HPE Synergy Image Streamer with HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module

  • Two HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 modules are required to support HPE Synergy Image Streamer OS deployment.

  • To create logical enclosures, each HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module must be cabled to a 20Gb or 10Gb satellite ICM installed in each additional frame.

  • Each HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module pair supports up to five frames.

    • The HPE Synergy 20Gb Interconnect Link Module supports two and three frame configurations.

    • The HPE Synergy 10Gb Interconnect Link Module supports configurations from two to five frames.

Cable requirements for the HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module

  • HPE Synergy Dual 10GBASE-T QSFP+ 30m RJ45 adapters are required for cabling the MGMT ports to each HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module.

  • CAT6A cables are required for connecting the frame link module MGMT ports to the HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module.

  • Interconnect link cables are required for cabling the HPE Synergy Virtual Connect SE 40Gb F8 module modules to each HPE Synergy 10Gb Interconnect Link Module or HPE Synergy 20Gb Interconnect Link Module.
