Windows Storage Server Event Logs
This data is used by support engineering team to resolve product issues and support requests.
Event logs capture system events. This information includes:
Event type
Date and time when the event occurred
Source of the event
Category of the event
Event ID
User who logged on when the event occurred
Computer on which the event occurred
You can use the filters available in the HPE StoreEasy management console UI to limit the logs which are collected for transfer.
Filters can be applied on the basis of event severity levels in the system:
Information | Indicates that a change in an application or component has occurred, such as an operation has successfully completed, a resource has been created, or a service started. |
Warning | Indicates that an issue has occurred that can impact service or result in a more serious problem if action is not taken. |
Error | Indicates that a problem has occurred, which might impact functionality that is external to the application or component that triggered the event. |
Critical | Indicates that a failure has occurred due to which the application or component that triggered the event is unable to recover automatically. |
You can download these packages to your local client system (from where the browser is being used) using HPE StoreEasy management console.
Navigate to
. It displays the list of support packages on the appliance.Select the package you want to download and click Download icon.
The HPE StoreEasy Storage system retains previously generated support packages. HPE recommends that you delete older packages as they consume space on the system drive.
To delete support packages:

Deleted packages get removed from your appliance and cannot be recovered.
