HPE Synergy console - First time setup
The setup must be performed by the authorized personnel of the customer, for example, the data center administrator or the network administrator.
- Connect to the front panel of the frame that includes the Synergy Composer and select Connect to OneView.
- Select Hardware Setup and wait for Add to complete.

Confirm that the
Inventory tab includes all installed components.
- Check the Frame Link Module cabling if the number of enclosures is correct.

- Edit OneView network settings.

Follow corrective actions to troubleshoot all errors until the setup is completed successfully.
This figure shows an expanded view of step three in the first time setup: confirming the inventory. The Enclosures, Server Hardware, and Interconnects should be discovered and added to the inventory in approximately 15 minutes.
If the inventory does not match the components that should be installed, then there is an error. For example, if the inventory shows only two enclosures and there should be three enclosures, the Frame Link Modules might not be cabled together correctly.
As the OneView Setup wizard reports the status of the installation process, installation technicians know when the installation is completed successfully. This eliminates an all too common problem that can occur with a traditional installation: the installation technician cables everything, runs the installation, and then leaves. In the absence of tools that provide insight into the status of the system setup, the installation technician cannot verify that the installation was completed successfully.
