Configuring E1POS interface maintenance service
Selecting negotiation parameters as per calling number
In some sites, POS devices might fail to identify swipe of cards sometimes. This is because the quality of lines used to connect POS devices in different sites differ significantly or the E1POS interface does not match the resistance of POS devices in problematic sites. As a result, modem negotiation parameters set in E1POS interface view cannot accommodate the variety of POS devices. This function allows you to manually change the modem negotiation parameters of specific calling numbers to adapt to varying line quality and POS devices.
To manually select negotiation parameters as per calling number:
Step | Command | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. Enter system view. | system-view | N/A |
2. Create the E1POS interface maintenance service and enter its view. | e1pos-adaptor | N/A |
3. Enable negotiation parameter selection as per calling number. | parameter enable | By default, negotiation parameter selection as per calling number is enabled. |
4. Create a negotiation parameter group and enter its view. | parameter-group group-number | By default, no negotiation parameter group is configured. |
5. Set the modem negotiation parameters for a calling number. | See "Setting modem negotiation parameters on an FCM interface." | N/A |
6. Return to E1POS interface maintenance service view. | quit | N/A |
7. Specify the negotiation parameter group for the calling number. | calling-number calling-number apply group-number | By default, no negotiation parameter group is specified to match a calling number. You can specify negotiation parameter groups for up to 512 calling numbers. |
Enabling automatic selection of negotiation parameter groups
In addition to manual configuration of negotiation parameters groups, the system supports automatically selecting negotiation parameters groups based on the transaction success rate, and saving, reading, or deleting the automatically selected groups.
To enable automatic selection of negotiation parameter groups:
Step | Command | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. Enter system view. | system-view | N/A |
2. Create the E1POS interface maintenance service and enter its view. | e1pos-adaptor | N/A |
3. Create a negotiation parameter group and enter its view. | parameter-group group-number | By default, no negotiation parameter group is configured. |
4. Set the modem negotiation parameters for a calling number. | See "Setting modem negotiation parameters on an FCM interface." | N/A |
5. Return to E1POS interface maintenance service view. | quit | N/A |
6. Enable automatic selection of negotiation parameter groups. | parameter auto-select enable | By default, automatic selection of negotiation parameter groups is enabled. |
7. Save, read, or delete automatically selected parameter groups. | parameter auto-select { save | load | remove calling-number } | Optional. |
Mirroring the PCM data of a specified calling number
To facilitate troubleshooting, the system supports mirroring the pulse code modulation (PCM) data of a specified calling number.
To mirror the PCM data of a specified calling number:
Step | Command | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. Enter system view. | system-view | N/A |
2. Create the E1POS interface maintenance service and enter its view. | e1pos-adaptor | N/A |
3. Mirror the PCM data of a specified calling number. | mirror number number pcm calling calling-number to { local-interface interface-type interface-number [ mac H-H-H ] | remote-ip ip-address [ port port ] } | Optional. By default, PCM data is not mirrored. |
Mirroring the PCM data of a specified E1POS interface channel
To facilitate troubleshooting, the system supports mirroring the PCM data of a specified E1POS interface channel.
To mirror the PCM data of a specified E1POS interface channel:
Step | Command | Remarks |
---|---|---|
1. Enter system view. | system-view | N/A |
2. Enter the view of the fast connection modem (FCM) interface generated by the E1POS interface. | interface fcm interface-number | N/A |
3. Mirror the PCM data of a specified E1POS interface channel. | mirror number number pcm channel-number to { local-interface interface-type interface-number [ mac H-H-H ] | remote-ip ip-address [ port port ] } | Optional. By default, PCM data is not mirrored. |
