Applying a queue-based WRED table on an interface
The following matrix shows the feature and router compatibility:
Hardware | Keyword compatibility |
---|---|
MSR900 | No |
MSR93X | No |
MSR20-1X | No |
MSR20 | No |
MSR30 | Supported only on MIM-16FSW and DMIM-24FSW Layer 2 Ethernet switching modules |
MSR50 | Supported only on FIC-16FSW and DFIC-24FSW Layer 2 Ethernet switching modules |
MSR1000 | No |
A WRED table contains global WRED parameters. The router supports only queue-based tables for WRED tables. Packets are dropped based on the queue when congestion occurs. A queue-based WRED table can only be applied to Layer 2 ports, and only queue-based WRED tables can be applied to Layer 2 ports.
A WRED table can be applied to multiple interfaces. For a WRED table already applied to an interface, you can modify the values of the WRED table, but you cannot remove the WRED table.
