HPE Synergy Software Releases - What's New?

HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2024.11.01 - November 2024

HPE Synergy Service Pack (SSP) 2024.11.01 introduces OS support for Microsoft Windows Server 2025. Additionally, this SSP removes OS support for the following:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2019

  • SUSE Linux Enterprise Server 12

HPE SSP 2024.11.01 contains the following known issues and limitations:

  • For HPE Synergy 480 Gen11 compute modules with processors that support Intel QuickAssist Technology for Microsoft Windows, version 2.3.0.6 is supported but is not included in HPE SSP 2024.11.01. You can download this version from the HPE Support Center and manually install it on the server.

    NOTE
If there is a previous version of Intel QuickAssist installed, the previous version must be uninstalled before installing version 2.3.0.6.
  • The HPE Synergy 3530C 16G FC HBA and HPE Synergy 5330C 32Gb FC HBA are not supported for coexistence in the same HPE Synergy compute node.

  • HPE ProLiant, Alletra, Synergy or Edgeline Gen11 Servers - Certain BIOS/UEFI Online ROM flash components fail to flash the system ROM using iLO 6 Firmware v1.62 (or later). For more information, see Customer Advisory a00143039.

  • HPE SSP 2024.11.01 does not contain updated firmware or driver support for the HPE Synergy 3820c 10/20Gb Converged Network Adapter, which has reached end of software support.

  • Windows components are selected if the firmware is updatable by UEFI when doing iLO Repository based updates. This is intended, as UEFI can understand only Exe and zip packages. When different windows components (WS2022/WS2025) are present, the higher version (WS2025) windows component will be selected for deployment.

For a specific list of firmware and software smart components included with this ISO, see the HPE Synergy Service Pack version SY-2024.11.01 contents list.

NOTE

HPE Synergy unmanaged switch firmware is independent of HPE Synergy Service Packs (SSP) and is not part of the SSP. HPE always recommends running the latest firmware to ensure you have the latest security patches, bug fixes, and enhancements.
