Failover a Remote Copy group

Procedure
  1. Perform a failover on the Remote Copy group.
  2. Ensure that you add the source HPE 3PAR Storage System to the target RMC appliance.
  3. Export the secondary volume to a host in secondary site.
  4. Rescan the storage devices using the vCenter in secondary site.

    A datastore with name in the format snap-timestamp- primarydatastorename is displayed.

  5. Browse the datastore.
  6. Select and register the VMs with vCenter.

    After the registration is complete, you can access the VMs.

  7. Update Recovery Manager Cache.

After the failover operation is complete, the source Volume Sets from the primary site A are now displayed under target Volume Sets in the secondary site B. Similarly, the target Volume Sets in the secondary site B are displayed under source Volume Sets from the primary site A.
