About the RMC-V GUI
To learn the names of common areas, icons, and controls on the GUI screen, see the numbered descriptions that appear after the image.
Item | Description |

1 | HPE RMC for VMware Main Menu — The primary menu for navigating through the plug-in. |
2 | Search — Search for Copies of a VM or datastore by specifying names of the resources. |
3 | Actions — Provides the actions that are available to run on the current resource. The menu includes, but are not limited to: adding, deleting, refreshing, and editing a resource instance. |
4 | Master pane — Lists all resource instances that have been configured on the appliance. In some cases, a status icon indicates general health of the resource. |
5 | Details pane — Provides details related to the selected resource. |
6 | Status — Displays IP address of the associated RMC and the plug-in status. |
7 | Refresh — Loads the latest details of the current page. |
8 | Help — Expands (or hides) a sidebar access to context-sensitive help, browse help, and information library. |
9 | vCenter Server with RMC-V plug-in — IP address of the vCenter with RMC-V plug-in. |
10 | RMC IP/ Hostname — IP address of the selected RMC. In a multi-RMC environment, use this drop-down to select another RMC. |
To deploy, configure, manage, and monitor the services provided by RMC-V using the following screens:
You can use the following screens to perform the various configuration and management tasks:
- Dashboard
View graphical representation of monitoring statistics at granular levels. You can use the dashboard to monitor protection jobs.
- Protection
Create Protection Groups and manage schedules and Clones.
- Copy Policies
Create and assign Copy Policies to VMs, datastores, and storage folders.
- Storage Devices
Add, edit, and delete storage systems in RMC. Also select Catalyst Stores to be used as Copy Repositories.
- Activities
View details of all the system and user initiated tasks.
- Settings
Manage RMC appliances, configure email notifications, and check diagnostics.
- Deleted Resources
View RMC created copies of a VM or datastore that has been deleted from the VMware inventory.
- All Resources
Search RMC copies by VM or datastore name.
