Understanding the registry for RMC-S

After RMC-S is successfully installed, information is written into the registry database in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HPE\RMC-S.

CAUTION:

Do not edit the registry key value unless asked by your local service provider for support purposes.

System Registry Values for RMC-S
Name	Value
AnalyzeInterval	Interval in minutes between automatic synchronization of the repository with HPE 3PAR, HPE Primera. The default interval is 60 minutes.
Build	Build number of the installed version of RMC-S.
DataFilePath	Location of the XML repository.
InstallPath	HPE Nimble Storage, HPE 3PAR, HPE Primera RMC-S installation path.
LogFilePath	Tracing log files.
PackageType	Specifies installed features of RMC-S.
TraceHistory	Number of trace files to keep before deleting.
TraceLevel	Trace level for the log file.
TraceLog	Information used to generate the trace file name.
TraceLogSize	Size of the log files.
PortNo	Port used by RMC-S PortNo is set to 50001 by default.
PromoteTimeout	Time interval in seconds to monitor the status of volume restore operation.
Version	Current version of RMC-S.
VolumeRestoreMaxRetry	The maximum number of retries to find the restored disks after a volume restore operation.

NOTE:

The DataFilePath field is created in the registry database only after you launch the RMC-S GUI for the first time.
An installation log file is created in the %Temp% folder for troubleshooting purposes.
