Peer Persistence switchover operation
A switchover changes the roles of the Peer Persistence groups and reverses the replication direction without impacting the host I/O. The source volume becomes the target, the target volume becomes the source, and the paths between them are reversed from the original configuration. A switchover also makes the LUNs writable from hosts connected to both systems. A switchover is also called a manual transparent failover.
Perform a switchover if service or maintenance must be performed on the source system in the Peer Persistence configuration.
Changes the Remote Copy Peer Persistence group Target role of the target systems. The primary group becomes secondary and the secondary group becomes the primary system.
Changes the replication direction.
Provides the host with read/write access to the volumes on the secondary group.
