Automatic resynchronization for asynchronous periodic mode Remote Copy groups
Asynchronous periodic mode Remote Copy groups automatically synchronize based on the synchronization period you choose.
Make sure that the network link you use is large enough to accept all the transmitted data for the duration of the synchronization period.
The delta resynchronization period is set when the source Remote Copy group is created.
You can adjust the resynchronization period anytime after you create the Remote Copy group, including after you start Remote Copy operations for the group.
The resynchronization schedule starts its countdown from the current resynchronization start time.
For example, the synchronization period is set to 10 minutes. A synchronization begins at 1:00 p.m. and completes. The next synchronization begins at 1:10 p.m., the next at 1:20 p.m., and so on.
If a resynchronization is delayed, the next resynchronization starts after the specified synchronization period.
For example, the synchronization period is set to 10 minutes. A resynchronization begins at 1:00 p.m. and takes 12 minutes to complete. The next resynchronization begins at 1:12 p.m. If that resynchronization takes 2 minutes to complete (within the 10 minute interval), the next resynchronization begins at 1:22 p.m., 10 minutes after the previous resynchronization.
