Remote Copy configuration options
Remote Copy configurations are based on the relationship between storage systems in the configuration. Within a Remote Copy configuration, the source storage system contains the active volumes. The target storage system contains copies of the volumes.
Remote Copy supports the following configurations:
One-to-One (1-to-1) configuration: One pair of storage systems that replicate data from one to the other.
Remote Copy with HPE Peer Persistence configuration: Redirects host I/O from one storage system to the other storage system, transparent to the host and without application downtime if a storage system failure occurs.
Synchronous long distance Remote Copy configuration (SLD): A storage system replicates its data to two target systems. The same Remote Copy group is replicated to the two target systems, one in synchronous mode, and the other in asynchronous periodic mode.
Three data center Peer Persistence configuration: Two storage systems set up in a Peer Persistence configuration with a third storage system set up in an SLD configuration.
