Installing the HPE StoreEasy management console

You need not perform this procedure for HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage systems with QR version 5.05.0a, as the HPE StoreEasy management console is preinstalled with the image. For updating the HPE StoreEasy management console for preinstalled versions, see HPE StoreEasy management console updates.

Earlier QR versions for HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage systems do not have the HPE StoreEasy management console preinstalled in the image. Use this procedure to install or upgrade the HPE StoreEasy management console:

Prerequisites

  • Download the current updated management console software from HPE Support Center.

  • You must have Administrator privileges on the HPE StoreEasy Storage system to install the management console.

  • It is recommended that you install the latest HPE StoreEasy Storage system updates including Windows updates, security updates, and hot fixes.

Procedure
  1. Download and extract the installer file.
  2. Double-click the extracted file.

    The installer wizard window is displayed.

  3. To configure the ports for the management console,
    1. For Web Service Gateway port configuration, select Use default.

      Ensure the port is open and accessible over the internet.

    2. To automatically configure all the ports, select Let the installer configure internal ports automatically. Optionally, if you want to manually configure the ports, select Configure internal ports manually and complete the following port configurations.

      • Web service port

      • Web socket

      • Prometheus

      • Push gateway

      • WMI exporter

  4. Provide the service user details.

The installation is complete and a report is generated for the successful update.
