CAUTION:
To avoid damage to system, do not operate the system for extended periods of time if the optimal number of fans are not installed. The system might still boot with the existing fans.
Valid fan configurations follow:
Single-processor configuration with high-performance fans

For a single-processor configuration, 10 fans are required for redundancy. A fan failure or missing fan causes loss of redundancy. A second fan failure or missing fan causes an orderly shutdown of the system.
HPE StoreEasy Storage systems support variable fan speeds. The fans operate at minimum speed until a temperature change requires a fan speed increase to cool the system.
