Configuring switches

The network infrastructure for the HPE Telco Blueprint consists of the following switch options:

  • Management switch

  • Data switch

Before selecting and configuring the switches, consider the following points:
  • For management switch:

    • If the switch is HPE FlexFabric 5900, then the configuration is manual.

    • If the switch is HPE ONIE (Cumulus NOS) 6900, then the configuration is manual.

  • For data switch:

    • For HPE FlexFabric 5950 using VLAN-based configuration, the switch configuration is automated.

    • For HPE FlexFabric 5950 using VxLAN-based configuration, the switch configuration is manual.

    • For Mellanox SN2100M using VxLAN-based configuration , the switch configuration is automated.

    • For ONIE (Cumulus NOS) HPE 6960 using VLAN-based configuration, the switch configuration is automated.
