About control plane
The control plane provides the central management system for the telco cloud deployments. The control functions include VIM controllers.
Virtual Infrastructure Management
The Virtualized Infrastructure Manager (VIM) is a functional block responsible for controlling, managing, and monitoring the NFVI compute, storage, and network hardware, the software for the virtualization layer, and the virtualized resources.
You can opt to use NPS toolkit to deploy the RHOSP VIM.
Red Hat OpenStack Platform with RH Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is used to create and deploy a secure and reliable Telco OpenStack cloud. In HPE Telco Blueprint, the Undercloud node is the primary director (Red Hat Director) node which is a virtualized single-system OpenStack installation. This node includes components to provision and manage the OpenStack overcloud nodes (controllers, computes, storage, or HCI nodes).
NPS toolkit deploys the Undercloud, and the Undercloud deploys the Overcloud.
