Shutting down RHOCP

Prerequisites

Before shutting down the cluster, see Changing administration and maintenance of cluster, from current Bastion host (NPS Toolkit VM) to separate Bastion host.

Procedure
  1. Back up switch configuration data.
  2. Back up etcd data.
  3. Back up projects and PVC yaml files of HPE Nimble storage.
  4. Check certificates expiry date of a cluster.
  5. Regenerate certificates, if required or skip this step.
  6. Create temporary service admin for cluster.
  7. Shut down the worker nodes, then shutdown the master node.
  8. Shut down the storage node, registry VM/machine (applicable only for restricted network/offline mode of installation), DHCP server, load balancer, and DNS.
