Restrictions and guidelines: Portal configuration
Portal authentication is supported only on Layer 3 interfaces.
Portal authentication through Web does not support security check for users. To implement security check, the client must be the HPE iNode client.
Portal authentication supports NAT traversal whether it is initiated by a Web client or an HPE iNode client. NAT traversal must be configured when the portal client is on a private network and the portal server is on a public network.
Make sure the authorization ACLs assigned to portal users do not have rules specified with a source IPv6 address. Otherwise, the users cannot come online after passing authentication. For more information about authorization ACLs, see authorization attribute configuration in "Configuring AAA."
