WLAN authentication overview
The term "AP" in this document refers to MSR routers that support WLAN.
This chapter describes implementation of WLAN authentication of Hewlett Packard Enterprise. WLAN authentication performs MAC-based network access control for WLAN clients to ensure access security.
WLAN authentication includes 802.1X authentication, MAC authentication, and OUI authentication.
As shown in Figure 30, the AP acts as the authenticator and authenticates the client to control access to the WLAN.
