Configuring the rate limit

The rate limit of a physical interface specifies the maximum rate of incoming packets or outgoing packets.

To configure the rate limit:

  • Enter interface view:interface interface-type interface-number

  • Enter port group view:port-group manual port-group-name

Use one of the commands.

Settings in interface view take effect on the current interface. Settings in port group view take effect on all ports in the port group.

3. Configure the rate limit for the interface or port group.

qos lr { inbound | outbound } cir committed-information-rate [ cbs committed-burst-size [ ebs excess-burst-size ] ]
