Configuring the LPU load sharing mode

[IMPORTANT: ]

IMPORTANT:

This feature is available only for FIP-300(JG671A), FIP-310(JG672A), SAP-20GE2XP(JH139A), and SAP-28GE(JH138A) modules on an MPLS L3VPN network.

By default, an LPU implements load sharing among its CPU cores based on the outer label of packets. On an MPLS L3VPN network, all packets have the same outer label. If an LPU uses the default load sharing mode, all packets arriving at the LPU are forwarded to the same CPU core. This causes low forwarding performance when heavy traffic exists in the network.

Perform this task to enable each LPU on the device to implement load sharing among its CPU cores based on the five-tuple in IP packets. The five-tuple contains source IP address, source port number, destination IP address, destination port number, and IP protocol number.
