snmpv3 engine-id
Syntax
snmpv3 engine-id <ENGINE-ID>
no snmpv3 engine-id <ENGINE-ID>
Description
Configures the SNMPv3 SNMP engine-id allowing an administrator to configure a unique SNMP engine-id for the switch. This engine-id is used by the NMS management tool to identify and distinguish multiple switches on the same network.
The
no
form of this command restores the default engine-id, created by the switch using a combination of the enterprise OID value and the switch's mac address.
