Multicast addresses

Each multicast host group is identified by a single IP address in the range of 224.0.0.0 through 239.255.255.255.

• For the 8320/8325 switch: ArubaOS-CX supports 4K multicast flows.

• For the 8400 switch: ArubaOS-CX supports 16K multicast flows.

The range of addresses between 224.0.0.0 and 224.0.0.255, inclusive, is reserved and excluded from IP multicast filtering.
