Configuring the hardware forwarding table

Prerequisites
Procedure
  1. Set the hardware forwarding table mode with the command platform forwarding-table-mode.
    NOTE:

    The hardware forwarding table mode setting is saved separately and cannot be recovered with a checkpoint restore or configuration download.

  2. Reboot the switch for the mode change to take effect with the command boot system.
