Connecting to the management port
Prerequisites
- Two Ethernet cables
- SSH client software
The management interface must be enabled and have an IP addressing method assigned to it.
Procedure
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect the management port to your network.
- Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the same network.
- Start your SSH client software and configure a new session using the address assigned to the management interface. (If the management interface is set to operate as a DHCP client. Retrieve the IP address assigned to the management interface from your DHCP server.)
- Start the session. If the connection is successful, you are prompted to login.
