Connecting to the management port

Prerequisites
  • Two Ethernet cables
  • SSH client software

  • The management interface must be enabled and have an IP addressing method assigned to it.

Procedure
  1. Use an Ethernet cable to connect the management port to your network.
  2. Use an Ethernet cable to connect your computer to the same network.
  3. Start your SSH client software and configure a new session using the address assigned to the management interface. (If the management interface is set to operate as a DHCP client. Retrieve the IP address assigned to the management interface from your DHCP server.)
  4. Start the session. If the connection is successful, you are prompted to login.
