Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol

The Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP) is used for configuring hosts with IP address and other configuration parameters without user intervention. The protocol is composed of three components:

• DHCP client

• DHCP server

• DHCP relay agent
