NOTE: Please do not change or rearrange the kit directories and/or files

that were unzipped and copied to the USB storage device.

 2. Connect the USB device to the UEFI based system with the FC adapters.

 3. Boot the system to the UEFI shell.

 4. At the system's UEFI shell prompt, run the "map -b" command to find

    the USB device.

 5. Locate the USB device and change to that device. For example, if the

USB device is mapped to fs9 after the map command:

    fs9:\>  <enter>

The UEFI shell prompt should change as follows:

    fs9:\>

 6. Run the UPDATEIPF.NSH script to update the UEFI driver and ASIC firmware.

    For example:

    fs9:\> UPDATEIPF.NSH

UPDATEIPF.NSH will call EFIUTIL.EFI to update all of the adapters.

Reboot the system to make the Driver/Firmware changes take effect.

8.      UEFI Driver Configuration

From this UEFI version (v6.37) onwards, UEFI Human Interface Infrastructure (HII) should be used to configure 16Gb adapters. Refer to the HII user guide contained in the FC uEFI directory of this package for details on UEFI driver configuration.

9.      Important Advisory:

On Integrity platforms, QW971A/B9F23A and QW972A/B9F24A Fibre Channel HBAs are supported from the below Engineering Date Code (EDC) versions or later:

QW971A/B9F23A Board Rev. 0B EDC A-5333

QW972A/B9F24A Board Rev. 0B EDC A-5335

If the EDC is lower than these versions, you must flash this B9F23A/B9F24A Flash Image Package to update the controller firmware and UEFI driver to the minimum supported versions.

NOTE:  Engineering Date Code (EDC) is printed on the part number label located on the SFP on the front side of the controller.
