Installs Intelligent Provisioning software on supported servers

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot is required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.


Installation:

To re-install Intelligent Provisioning, burn this ISO to a dvd or mount as an iLO virtual media and boot your server to it.  Follow the onscreen instructions to install onto your system.  Once installed, reboot your server and press the F10 screen at server POST to boot into Intelligent Provisioning.

Important:

The Intelligent Provisioning recovery media is only needed when you would like to manually install the software onto a Gen10 or Gen10 Plus server.  Intelligent Provisioning is already embedded on your server and accessible by pressing the F10 key at server POST.  To update Intelligent Provisioning, you may go to the Firmware Update feature in the Maintenance page of Intelligent Provisioning.  For product information, go to http://www.hpe.com/servers/intelligentprovisioning

Installing Intelligent Provisioning from ISO image will update DBX. If Secure Boot in UEFI RBSU is enabled, it stops booting into impacted HPE products with vulnerability issues documented in CVE-2020-10713 and CVE-2020-7205. Please find impacted HPE Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) products in the HPE Security Bulletin.
Any of the following versions of Intelligent Provisioning are impacted:

  • HPE Intelligent Provisioning for HPE Gen8 Servers – Prior to v1.72
  • HPE Intelligent Provisioning for HPE Gen9 Servers - Prior to v2.81
  • HPE Intelligent Provisioning for HPE Gen10 and Gen10 Plus Servers - v3.30.213 (or earlier), v3.31, v3.40
