IMPORTANT: When flashing disks behind HP MSA2000/P2000 controller running firmware version TS240, do not use the smart component. Use binary firmware from http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12169&prodSeriesId=4118559&swItem=MTX-970d0b0f8f334ccab76c94d3a0&prodNameId=4304839&swEnvOID=4064&swLang=8&taskId=135&mode=4&idx=0 and flash the disks using SMU or FTP.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that no other user is performing administrative functions on the P2000/MSA2000 storage system
IMPORTANT: Please refer to the release notes for special considerations regarding the pre-install conditions for flashing hard drives in P2000/MSA2000 configurations.
NOTE: Disk drive upgrades on the HP P2000/MSA2000 is an offline process. All host and array I/O must be stopped prior to the upgrade. For more information, see the HP P2000/MSA2000 Family Modular Storage Array reference guide.
