This release provides the updated HPE Moonshot iLO Chassis Manager Firmware for ProLiant Server Cartridges.

New features/Enhancements

  • Added Node Asset tags in the GUI, CLI, IPMI and RESTful interfaces.
  • Discover and show NVMe drives on iLO-based cartridges (requires iLO Moonshot 2.50 or later)
  • Added the ability to configure the SNMP trap port via the CLI and RESTful interfaces.
  • Shortened the rendering time of the Show LINKs page in the GUI.  Also added a table of all current links to the page.
  • Enhanced the Edit Links page in the GUI.  Hovering over the link icon on a cartridge will show all current and all possible links for the cartridge in a table.  Selecting a cartridge will show all current links for the cartridge in a table.
  • Added a new set of RESTful calls to control the power and the boot device for multiple nodes with a single POST to /rest/v1/SystemsSummary.
  • Enhanced IML log entries to identify the node number in wear level log messages.  The cartridge number was identified, but node number was not previously identified.
  • Added check at cartridge insertion for no memory DIMMs present.  If no DIMM is present, the message "Error: Memory error detected by population rules (00)" will be added to the IML log.  The "00" indicates no DIMMs present.  Any other number indicates a DIMM is present but in the wrong connector.
  • Modified chassis fan table to meet NEBS compliance.
  • Improved GUI performance by optimizing some RESTful calls.
  • Support showing up to 5 M.2 storage devices on a cartridge.  Previously, a max of 4 M.2s would be shown in the CLI and GUI.
  • Updated the CLI version reported in the CLI to "2.5".

  • Updated the CLI version reported in the CLI to "2.5".

Problems Fixed:

  • Addressed a problem with boot settings and some security settings being lost on iLO CM 1.50 or 1.51 upgrades.  This will not occur with iLO CM 1.52.
  • Fixed problems with SET CARTRIDGE ASSET possibly incorrectly modifying FRU data on a cartridge and causing MAC Addresses to show as "Unavailable", and returning success upon failure.
  • Fixed intermittent invalid reporting of a memory error in the IML log for "Memory error detected by population rules" for m700p cartridges.
  • Fixed problem with possibly not receiving SNMP traps for power supply, fan and thermal events.
  • Fixed error when updating Cartridge Satellite Firmware on a switch if an m510 or m710x cartridge is installed in slot 1 and/or 2.
  • Fixed a problem with the CLI command SHOW CARTRIDGE POWER reporting wrong node power states.  It was reporting the node power state for the next higher node.  There was not a problem with SHOW NODE POWER.
  • Fixed handling of empty SNMP trap targets to avoid long delays.
  • Ensure that physical pressing of the UID button on a cartridge could not result in iLO CM showing the wrong state of the UID light.
  • Security fix:  Updated to Openssl 1.0.1u
  • Made improvements in the REST call for ColdReset (force power off, followed by queueing of a power on) of a node by allowing longer for the power down transition.
  • Made sure unset Cartridge Asset Tags are never displayed.
  • Fix for UUIDs of nodes 2-4 sometimes showing the node 1 UUID.
  • Modified SSH handling so that command output from a CLI RUN command can be obtained in full, keeping the session from sending an EOF after the first command in the script completes.  This is applicable when running CLI commands over SSH via automated scripts.
  • Fixed potential problem with SSH connection handling with multiple active users.
  • Fixed problem with HP Moonshot 180GXc switch sometimes showing a temp of 255 degrees for sensor "05-Net Ctrlr 2".
  • Minor change to be able to flash images from webservers that do not provide "Content-Range:" headers in their response.
