This Smart Component provides firmware for the following SAS hard drive models: EH0146FCBVB, EH0300FCBVC

Prerequisites:

Before flashing firmware by using this component, please make sure:

  • The version of the HP-UX operating system is B.11.31.1109 or later.
  • The version of driver RAIDSA is B.11.31.1203.

To ensure the integrity of your download, HPE recommends verifying your results with the following SHA-256 Checksum values:

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot is required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.


Installation:
To update firmware from HP-UX operating system on target server:

  • Login as root. (You must be root in order to apply the ROM update.)
  • Place the Smart Component in a temporary directory.
  • From the same directory, execute the Smart Component. For example: ./CPXXXXXX.scexe
  • Follow the directions given by the Smart Component.

To use HP Smart Update Manager:

  • Please refer to the HP Smart Update Manager User Guide for more information on HP Smart Update Manager
  • HP SUM version 6.0 or later is required to update this component with HP Smart Upadte Manager
