Reboot Requirement:
Reboot is not required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.

Installation:

HPE recommends that you use the bundled firmware image to upgrade all hard disk drives rather than manually upgrading the firmware on an individual disk drive. To complete the upgrade, see the installation instructions in the Updating Product Software Guide for the P6300/P6500 EVA at https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-c02858292.

Upgrade Requirement:
Recommended - HPE recommends users update to this version at their earliest convenience.

Important:

The P6000 requires SAS disks that are enabled for use on the EVA family as noted by 'EVA' on the disk model label. Non-EVA disks will not work in the P6000 and loading the updated firmware image will not change this restriction.

Notes:

To maintain your storage system at the most current configuration, HPE recommends that you maintain all disk drives at the recommended firmware version. Complete the upgrade at your earliest convenience.
