The following enhancements for SAS disk drive model MM1000JEFRB is included in the HPD8 release:
- This firmware has a change that allows the drive to meet the requirements for Azure Stack certification. There is also a change to the reported drive serial number in VPD page 80 which will now report the same as is displayed on the drive label. Any removed characters are replaced with blank place holders so the log format will not be changed.
The following enhancements for SAS disk drive models MB2000JFEML, and MB4000JFEMN are included in the HPD6 release:
- Corrects a potential data integrity issue caused by an in process write retry incorrectly starting at the wrong location. This issue was found during supplier ongoing reliability testing.
- The firmware also includes emergency power off improvements.

- This firmware includes a fix for an issue that could cause timeout errors during certain sequential write corner cases. There is also a fix for slow response time during random write workloads.
The following enhancements for SAS disk drive model EG000300JWFVB is included in the HPD2 release:
- Changed some settings to comply with Microsoft Storage Spaces Certification requirements.
The following enhancements for SAS disk drive model EG000600JWFUV is included in the HPD3 release:

- Changed response to SMART trip for changes in the motor electric current:
- Spins down any drive that exceeds established motor current thresholds and identifies it for removal
- Prevents the drive from spinning up again after a power cycle in case it is not removed.
