The Offline HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA) provides an ISO image that can be mounted, burned to a CD/DVD, or flashed to a USB memory key or SD card by using the HP USB Key Utility for Windows. This deliverable will allow users to boot into an environment from which they can choose various configuration utilities (HPE SSA, HPESSACLI, and HPESSASCRIPTING) prior to the Host OS loading. The HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA) helps you configure, manage, diagnose, and monitor HP ProLiant Smart Array Controllers and now other storage devices as well, such as host bus adapters (HBAs), HP Storage controllers, and future devices such as SCSI Express drives, and SAS switch devices. HPE SSA replaces the existing HP Array Configuration Utility, or ACU, with an updated design and will deliver new features and functionality for various Smart Storage initiatives as they come online. HPE SSA will allow you to configure and manage your storage as before, but now with additional features, abilities, and supported devices. Existing ACU scripts should only need to make minimal changes such as calling the appropriate binary or executable in order to maintain compatibility.

To ensure the integrity of your download, HPE recommends verifying your results with this SHA-256 Checksum value:

b38a7953c068d9a7ff39078ff70656a83d353acdddb4726164032d651dbfd6a1 ssaoffline-2.65-7.0-x86_signed.zip

Reboot Requirement:
Reboot is not required after installation for updates to take effect and hardware stability to be maintained.

Installation:

Download the Offline HPE Smart Storage Administrator zip file and then burn/write the ISO image to the desired media (CD/DVD/USB Key/SD card) using the HP USB Key Utility for Windows

Insert the media into the server and boot the server.  Verify that your system can boot from the desired media.

A menu with the three boot options (SSA, SSACLI, SSASCRIPTING) is shown. The user can manually select which utility to start; or if no selection is made, HPE SSA is automatically started.

This image is a bootable environment that immediately starts HPE SSA to allow configuration of storage.

This ISO image can also be mounted as a CD image through ILO2 or higher.  It is highly recommended that your server have the latest BIOS firmware and latest ILO2  or higher firmware installed.

This utility provides the following boot options:

   *   The web based HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPE SSA)

   *   The command line HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPESSACLI)

   *   The Scripting HPE Smart Storage Administrator (HPESSASCRIPTING)
