SYMPTOM:Configuring Raid Array 
SYMPTOM:Install operating systems in ML10v2 server
Cause
CAUSE:ML10v2 server does not have intelligent provisioning and there is no VID partition to provide drivers during installation.
Answer/Solution
FIX: User has to manually configure the server to enable the raid and install operating system.

1. Enter RBSU and ensure B120i Controller is enabled.

2. Download the offline HP Smart Storage Administrator or the HP SPP from the below links.

a.HP Smart Storage Administrator

b.HP SPP

Click here to access "Service Pack for ProLiant (SPP) Version 2016.04.0".

3. Mount the ISO image using iLO virtual media or burn the ISO in a bootable DVD.

4. Boot the server using the ISO image or DVD. 

Offline Smart Storage Administrator: 

a. Boot the server using the offline SSA. 
b. The server will launch SAA. 
c. Select the controller and configure RAID.

HP SPP:

a. Select Interactive Firmware Update Version 20xx.xx.x 
b. Accept license agreement
c. Select SSA(HP Smart Storage Administrator)
d. Select the controller and create the RAID

5. Once the logical volumes are created, exit out of this.

6. From the HP Drivers Page,(Click here to access the drivers, manuals, parts & solutions),download the controller driver based on user operating system and keep it ready.

7. Boot the server operating system disc and follow the onscreen instructions accordingly.

8. When prompted for controller driver, provide the drivers which were kept ready as per step 6, via USB Key of iLO virtual folder.

9. Once the drivers are accepted the drives and hard drives are detected.

10. Select the volume on which customer wish to install the OS and complete the OS installation.
