RESOLUTION

A driver has been developed to resolve this issue.

To remove the driver that is causing the Blue Screen and to install the driver that resolves this issue:

  1. Boot the system into Safe Mode by pressing F8 during the system boot or the Operating System selection.
  2. After booting into Safe Mode, from a command prompt, execute "pnputil.exe -e" to enumerate the drivers installed, oemXX.inf files where XX are numbers will be displayed.
  3. Search for the "QLogic Corporation" EVBD driver package OEM inf and delete the driver using the command: "pnputil.exe -f –d oemXX.inf." Also, go to the \System32\drivers directory and delete the "evbda.sys" file.
  4. Reboot the system in normal mode.
  5. After rebooting, under Device Manager-> system devices, a "yellow bang" will be shown in the EVBD driver nodes. Right-click on those nodes and uninstall them.
  6. Install Version 7.13.106.0 of the EVBD driver that has the fix for this issue, available at:
