Potential security vulnerabilities have been identified in HPE HP-UX CIFS server using Samba. The vulnerabilities can be exploited remotely to allow authentication bypass, code execution, and unauthorized access.

For PA-RISC system

Workaround for CVE-2017-7494

Add the below parameter to the [global] section of smb.conf file and restart smbd. This prevents clients from accessing any named pipe endpoints.

nt pipe support = no

Note: This can disable some expected functionality for Windows clients.

CVE-2017-2619 does not impact PA-RISC systems.

CVE-2017-11103 does not impact PA-RISC systems.
