Release Date: 2019-10-15 Last Updated: 2019-10-15 Potential Security Impact: Remote: Denial of Service (DoS) Source: Hewlett Packard Enterprise, HPE Product Security Response Team VULNERABILITY SUMMARYHPE Lights Out 100 (LO100) Remote Management could be used with ProLiant G1 through G6 servers and is vulnerable to remote denial of service. The security research team at ARMIS have asserted the LO100 could be impacted by a denial of service vulnerability because of a 3rd party TCP/IP stack. The vulnerability is one of 11 different security issues, collectively called "URGENT/11". The vulnerability has not been validated by HPE because the product is no longer supported. HPE recommends disconnecting the LO100 from the network to defend against this vulnerability in the LO100. Note: HPE recommends all LO100 devices be disconnected from the network to protect against the vulnerability. Hewlett Packard Enterprise acknowledges Ben Siri of ARMIS for reporting this issue to security-alert@hpe.com. RESOLUTIONHPE recommends disconnecting the LO100 from the network to protect the system from a potential denial of service. No updates are available for the LO100.
