DESCRIPTION

This document announces the release of HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring (SWSM) 5.0.2.3486.0.

DETAILS

HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring (SWSM) 5.0.2.3486.0 is an updated release that supersedes all prior releases of HP StorageWorks Storage Mirroring Application Manager (SMAM). Changes and fixes in this version include:

  • SWSM 5.0.2.3486.0 combines previously released hot fixes and new features into a new Major Version Release. The following is a list of new features and/or enhancements included in SWSM 5.0.2.3486.0.

    • Advanced Scripting - Ability to specify a user account for running scripts and new script execution points.

    • Enhanced Restore - Maximize the up-time for end-users because there is no need to take the protected applications offline during a restore.

    • Full-Server Failover - Incorporation of Full-Server Failover technology to allow failover of the entire source server (operating system, application and data). Removes the need to have the application preinstalled on the target.

    • Interoperability with Hierarchical Storage Management products - Interoperability with Hierarchical Storage Management (HSM) software applications from CommVault and BridgeHead Software.

  • Management Console 'Configuration' tab settings are reverted when the 'File Listings' slid bar is touched.

  • Email notification does not work with Simple Mail Transport Protocol (SMTP) server using a port other than 25.

  • 'Op Error: MirrorOp3 (0474FE44) failed with error -39 (Access is denied)' in the target DTLogXX.dtl log file.

  • 'Op Error: RenameDirOp2 (2177FD74) failed with error -39 (Access is denied)' in the target DTLogXX.dtl log file.

  • 'Op Error: AttrsFileOp2 (000000000758FCF0) failed with error -39 (Access is denied)' in the target DTLogXX.dtl log file.

  • 'Op Error: RenameFileOp2 (02F9FE68) failed with error -39 (Access is denied)' in the target DTLogXX.dtl log file.

  • 'Target is full!' and 'Retrying Op: TruncOp4 (0396FE68) [drive\path\filename]:MSSQL_DBCC1 File truncation failed. Internal Error: 112' reported on target with SQL 2005 sparse files.

  • Mirror and verify operations change the last accessed time on all the files that were touched.

  • 'Access denied' when attempting file operations on a 64-bit server.

  • Dblhook driver terminates with Event ID: 16384 or 16392 with 933b00ba in the word data.

  • Dblhook Event ID:16387 occurring on a 64-bit server.
