HPE Data Protector "HPE P6000 / HPE 3PAR SMI-S agent" module may fail to synchronize 3PAR periodic remote replication group during Zero Downtime Backup (ZDB) if the option "HPE 3PAR remote Copy" is used in the backup specification.

An error message similar to the following may be displayed; however, and in rare instances, an error message may not be displayed:

The Data Protector SMIS agent fails with the following error messages:
|Critical| From: SMISA@<hostname > "" Time: <Date><Time>
There are no valid objects left.
|Critical| From: SMISA@<hostname > "" Time: <Date><Time>
Some or all storage volumes cannot be backed up. Session will abort.

As a result of this issue, target volume of remote replication is not synchronized with the source volume and not all data may be properly backed up.

Any supported HPE Data Protector platform for "HPE P6000 / HPE 3PAR SMI-S agent" component from Data Protector 9.07 (or later).

To resolve this issue, it is recommended to install HPE Data Protector Version 9.09 (or later). To obtain the latest release of HPE Data Protector, visit: .
