How to Link Contracts and Warranties to your HPE Support Center User Profile to Access HPE's Protected Knowledge and Downloads

The steps in this guide describe how to link contracts or warranties to your HPE Support Center user profile. For certain HPE Support Center features, you must have an active contract or warranty covering a specific product to access HPE's downloads, knowledge, and tools. You gain this product entitlement privilege in two ways:

  • You have linked your HPE Support Center profile to a warranty, HPE Packaged Support Service, or support agreement that covers a relevant product. See How to link contracts & warranties below for details.

  • Another user has linked their HPE Support Center profile to a warranty, HPE Packaged Support Service, or support agreement that covers a relevant product, and has created a contract and warranty share that includes you as a member. How to link contracts & warranties

  1. You received a Support Validation Required message:

    1. HPE Support Center displays a Support validation required message for downloads that require an active warranty or contract linked to your HPE Support Center user profile to access.

    2. The message also indicates which type of product must be covered by your warranty or contract in order to access the download.

  2. Sign in or Create an HPE Support Center user profile:

    1. You must first sign in to your HPE Support Center account.

    2. If your HPE Support Center profile has previously been associated (linked) to a contract or warranty covering the product indicated in the Support validation required message, then after signing in you may proceed with the download.

    3. If you do not have an HPE Support Center user account, click here to Create an Account and register for a new HPE Support Center profile.

  3. Denied access after log in:

    1. If your HPE Support Center profile does not have any existing contracts or warranties covering the indicated product family, the "Support validation required" message will be display again when trying to access the download

    2. Proceed to next step to view and manage your contracts and warrantied products

  4. View and Manage contracted and warrantied products:

    1. Click on "Contracts & warranties" to view and manage which warranties, HPE Packaged Support Service, or support agreements are linked to your HPE Support Center profile.

    2. In the Contracts and Warranties page, click View my contracts & warranties to view which warranties or contracts are currently associated to your HPE Support Center profile.

    3. To add contracts or warranties to your HPE Support Center profile, click the appropriate Link support agreements, Link packaged support, or Link warranties.

  5. Linking your contracted or warrantied products:

    1. Enter an active contract or warranty identifier (Support Agreement ID, HPE Packaged Support Services, or warranty serial number).

    2. This identifier must be linked to your HPE Support Center profile in order to access HPE's materials.

    3. Click here for more information where to locate this additional required information .

    4. Finally, click submit at the bottom of the page and review the confirmation message to ensure linking was successful.

      You may simultaneously link up to 2,500 warranties, HPE Packages Support Services, or support agreements at one time by using the HPE Support Center Bulk entitlement link tool. Click here to go to the HPE Support Center Bulk entitlement link tool .

  6. Return to download page to download the file:

    1. After you have linked your contract or warranty identifier, you can return to HPE Support Center to proceed with the download.
