Re-entering a serial number

About this task

Use the Serial Number option to re-enter the server serial number after replacing the system board. This value must match the serial number sticker located on the back of the chassis.

Procedure

From the System Utilities screen, select System Configuration > BIOS/Platform Configuration (RBSU) > Advanced Options > Advanced Service Options > Serial Number.
Enter the serial number, and then press Enter.
Save the setting.
