Installing the HPE StoreEasy management console

Prerequisites

  • Download the latest management console software from HPE Support Center.

  • You must have Administrator privileges on the HPE StoreEasy Storage system to install the management console.

  • It is recommended that you install the latest updates, the latest released HPE Server Support Packs for ProLiant (SPP), Microsoft Windows Cumulative Update, and Microsoft Windows Security updates. The Microsoft updates are released monthly. It is recommended that you sign up for alerts for HPE-related updates which will provide an alert email when updates are released, see Register for product notifications.

About this task

Most StoreEasy systems will arrive with the HPE StoreEasy Management Console preinstalled in the image, including those with QR version 6.20.0e/7.00.0a/7.10.0d installed. For updating the HPE StoreEasy management console for preinstalled versions, see HPE StoreEasy Management Console updates.

Earlier QR versions 5.03.0x.xx and earlier for HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage systems do not have the HPE StoreEasy management console preinstalled in the image. Use this procedure to install or upgrade the HPE StoreEasy management console:

Procedure

  1. Download and extract the installer file.
  2. Double-click the extracted file.

    The installer wizard window is displayed.

  3. To configure the ports for the management console,
    1. For Web Service Gateway port configuration, select Use default.

      Ensure that the port is open and accessible over the Internet.

    2. To automatically configure all the ports, select Let the installer configure internal ports automatically. Optionally, if you want to manually configure the ports, select Configure internal ports manually and complete the following port configurations.

      • Web service port

      • Web socket

      • Prometheus

      • HPE StoreEasy Telemetry Service

      • HPE StoreEasy UI Service

  4. Provide the service user details.

Results

The installation is complete and a report is generated for a successful update.
