Backing up the HPE StoreEasy 1000 Storage using Windows Server Backup

Prerequisites

Ensure that Windows Server Backup is installed.

About this task

If you want to recover the HPE StoreEasy Storage system using Windows Recovery Environment, the system must be backed up using Windows Server Backup.

Procedure

  1. Access Server Manager.
  2. Select Start > Administrative Tools > Windows Server Backup.
  3. Under Actions, select Backup Once and then click Next.

    The Backup Once wizard opens.

  4. In the Backup Options window, select Different options and then click Next.
  5. Check Custom for backup configuration and then click Next.
  6. Select Full StoreEasy system (recommended) to back up all HPE StoreEasy system data, applications, and the system state, and then click Next.
  7. Select Remote Shared Folder as the destination type, and then click Next.
  8. Enter the path to the remote folder in Location, select the required option in the Access control group, and then click Next.
  9. Review the items selected for backup, and then click Backup.

    A backup of the items is created and saved in the specified location. The backup activity is displayed in the Local Backup window.
