A POST message displays: NVDIMM Population Error - NVDIMMs and LRDIMMs are installed in this system. NVDIMMs are only supported with RDIMMs on this system.

Cause

The server contains an unsupported mix of DIMM types.

Action

Do one of the following:

Remove all LRDIMMs from the server.
Remove all NVDIMMs from the server.

CAUTION: Failure to properly handle DIMMs can cause damage to DIMM components and the system board connector. See the DIMM handling guidelines on the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Information Library ( (http://www.hpe.com/info/enterprise/docs).
