Symptom
The system is overheating. (Temperature Sensor %1, Location %2, Temperature %3)
Cause
- The processor heatsink is not installed as indicated in the server documentation.
- A supported fan is not installed in the server.
- An air baffle or blank is missing or not installed properly and causing a disruption of the airflow.
Action
Check fans, processor heat sink and air baffles installation.
- Verify that all air baffles and required blanks, such as drive blanks, processor heatsink blanks, power supply blanks, and so on are installed.
- Verify that the correct processor heatsink is installed.
- Verify that the correct fan is installed, if the system supports both standard fans and performance fans.
